Privacy Notice · Businesses we contact
Why we have your business's details.
Last updated 6 October 2026
If we've called your business, or are about to, this page explains where we got your details, what we hold, why, and how to make us stop. The short version: we only use the details you've published on your Google listing, we only call numbers that aren't on the Telephone Preference Service registers, and one word from you ends it for good.
Who we are
More Calls is a trading name of Ryan Sullivan, a sole trader. We build and look after websites for trade businesses and help them appear on the first page of Google for the searches their customers use. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Ryan Sullivan is the data controller for the information described here.

Where your details came from
We found your business's name, phone number, website address, address and category on your public Google Maps listing, through a search data provider (DataForSEO). We also look at your business's public website, at the dates of the most recent reviews on your Google listing, and at which directories and listing sites (such as Yell or Checkatrade) show your business, which we find by searching Google for your phone number and business name. We record the date we first obtained your details.
What we hold
- Your business name, phone number, website address, business address and category.
- Your listing's public review count and rating, and when your most recent reviews were posted. We don't keep the reviews themselves or who wrote them.
- Which directories and listing sites show your business, the links to those listings, and whether the name, address and phone number they show match your Google listing.
- What we measured about your listing and website: for example your position on Google Maps for a search, and whether your website loads and works on a phone.
- A record of each call we make to you, and any notes from it.
- If we arrange to come and see you, the date, time and place of the meeting, and any notes from it.
- The result of checking your number against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS).
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To contact your business by phone about our services. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): we have a legitimate interest in offering our services to trade businesses whose online presence we can measurably improve.
We've weighed that against your interests and think it's fair, because we only use business contact details you've chosen to publish, we only call numbers that aren't registered with the TPS or CTPS (or whose subscriber has told us they don't object to our calls), and you can stop our calls at any time.
Your right to object
You can tell us to stop at any time, on a call or by email, phone or post using the details above, and we will. You don't need to give a reason. We'll never call that number again.
You have the right to object to our calls, and to our use of your details for marketing, at any time. When you do, we stop straight away and add your business to our do-not-call list.
How long we keep it
- If you don't become a client, we delete your details 12 months after our last contact with you, and sooner if we haven't been able to reach you within a month of finding them.
- If you ask us not to call, we keep only your business name, phone number, website, Google listing reference and the date you asked, so that we never call you again. That record is kept for as long as we make calls.
- The raw search results your details arrived in are deleted after 90 days.
- Our backups are deleted on a rolling basis, so a deleted record is gone from them within about 15 months.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your details or share them with anyone for their own use. The services below handle them on our behalf, under contract:
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 121ProData | Your phone number | Checking it against the TPS and CTPS before we call |

Where any of these providers handle data outside the UK, they do so under the safeguards UK law requires for international transfers.
Your other rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete them. Contact us using the details above and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, tell us and we'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
If you're a More Calls customer, or you've been in touch with us about becoming one, our main privacy policy covers that.
